The Humboldt-Del Norte Foundation for Medical Care (The Foundation) was formed over 40 years ago by a group of local physicians who wanted to offer discounted medical services for local employers. The Foundation has grown to become a full-service third party administrator for both self-insured employer health plans and commercial plans.
The Foundation's network of clinicians work together to provide high quality health care. The local Foundation network is a part of the California Foundation for Medical Care, a statewide network of over 33,000 health care providers.
Since 1963, The Foundation has been a partner in delivering quality health care in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. Our mission is to foster local accountability while providing appropriate, proficient, cost effective medical care for the people of Humboldt and Del Norte counties. The Foundation provides leadership in working with health plans available in the two county area to ensure that medical care is provided in a manner that enhances the public health and promotes access to quality care.
The Foundation provides administrative and medical management services for a variety of health plans. We work with a network of health care providers dedicated to improving the health of our community.
